hello everybody,

How to use YUM tool in linux and also how to edit its configuration file and repos .


And also

while iam using wget command at the prompt , it shows me a error like , the "host addr cannot resolved" .

Actually iam trying to configure the open vpn ... so these things are necessary for me to do further .......
can anybody help me Please!............

please look into the /etc/yum.repos.d and
It contains one file each for one single repos. just copy one file and edit it and add alocal repository and then you have yum running on your local network.
other commands of interest:
yum, createrepo ...

while iam using wget command at the prompt , it shows me a error like , the "host addr cannot resolved" .

It indicates the failure of DNS resolution. Either your /etc/resolv.conf file points to an invalid DNS server or ur DNS server is down.

try running nslookup or dig to find out if you are able to resolve names.
