Originally my suspicion was that the problem was coming from the IP address i am using to connect to the NZ linksys router, behind the Debian box and the fact that it is being forwarded.
ie. i put into my browser 22.214.171.124 to get to the NZ linksys but the linksys actually has 192.168.17.5 bound to its WAN interface and the 126.96.36.199 address is being forwarded from the WAN interface on the Debain box.
NOTE - not real IP addresses.
Would it be possible for us to bridge the 188.8.131.52 IP address so that it is actually bound to the WAN interface of the linksys router and all traffic arriving at the debian box which is heading to 184.108.40.206 is bridged straight through to the linksys router?
if this is possible could you please give me some advice as to how i could set this up?
