modem problem
Hi
I ask this question once before, but i have to ask again.
I have a USB external LADYBIRD modem , my linux version is 2.6.18.13 ,
and i use SUSE 10.1 , my modem is a winmodem. when i try to configure the modem with kppp,
i don't know which port shouldset for my modem (ttySx or ttyACMx or ...), when i click to query modem button
some error pops up that say "can not create modem lock file" or "modem is busy."
i think that the related module load at boot time.
what should i do? please help me.

If your modem is USB, then most likely its /dev/ttyUSBx. Most winmodems are not supported in Linux, so chances are that you may not be successful in getting it working even if its detected. Most external serial modems will work fine using Linux.
