    My Gentoo doesn't work with my network card


    This is the line from lspci
    00:0..0 Ethernet controller: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL-8139/8139C/8139C+ (rev 10)
    Please help, I''m a noob BTW, so try to keep explinations simple.
    EDIT: I'm in the Gentoo installer, so I really don't have that many usable programs.

    Did you run

    net-setup eth0
    If that doesn't work, try:

    modprobe 8139too
    And once you do have a successful install, don't forget to also add that module to you /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.4 file...
