I have dsl knoppix 2.4.26 on a bootable pendrive, when it goes through hardware detection it always finds the lucent ltmodem thats in my box which is fine. For the life of me I can't get redhat 9 (2.4.20- to find it. I've gone through and read everything on ltmodems' that I can mind but I still can't get it to work. I've successfully installed the correct "rpm" for my kernel and double checked it in the /dev menu and still nothing. What am I doing wrong? Can I emulate whatever DSL is doing to find it in Redhat? Oh and linspire can find it too! This is driving me bloody mad.
