hi
i would like to know whether the packet filtering table of the netfilter(iptables)
does have any priorities among its default chains. i mean whether input chain is processed first or the packet is sent to the forward chain.

Also in case if a packet filter on a machine is dropping(deny) icmp packets then how should i know the rtt (round trip time) or delay .
