I have a HP printer connected to my LAN server. The printer is shared with CUPS to Linux and Win clients.

Windows:
1. (preferred) AddPrinter -> NetworkPrinter -> Connect to a printer on the home network or the internet -> http://{CUPS hostname}:631/printers/{CUPS printername} and select the correct printerdriver
2. AddPrinter -> NetworkPrinter -> BrowserForPrinters -> {CUPS hostname}\ -> {CUPS printername} and select the correct printerdriver
Linux:
Cups announces it's printers in the LAN so it's visible after some time on all linux boxes and added on the list of printers in the print menus. (I use SuSE 10.1 with kde and I had to configure nothing in order to see the LAN printers). So just use the print menu and select the remote printer."Really, I'm not out to destroy Microsoft.
