Hello all, I have a simple question. Is it possible to set up a router/gateway using a single NIC and IP aliasing?...

Maybe, but I haven't tested it. This (dated) howto appears to still be legit: http://www.faqs.org/docs/Linux-mini/IP-Alias.html

Note that you probably won't need to load the ip_alias module. Support appears to be built in on my CentOS 4.4 box.
