Compaq prolinea CPU=75MHZ RAM=57 HDD=6GIG 2PCI NICS

trying to make a router + print server out of the Equipment stated above equipment. I have slackware 10.0 disks 1 and 2 and I hear it can do the trick according to my googling.
I know in Windows you just install a NIC configure it and share it and configure clients .
any linux gurus gat any ideas guides will be highly appreciatted.
please try to break it down 1 month linux newbie here
