You can upgrade straight from RH9 to FC2. I think RedHat distros can always upgrade straight from any other RedHat version starting with 2.0 or 3.0....

Well, I did the Upgrade from RH9 -> FC2, and it had some quirky
problems...So I had to reload a fresh FC2 install which seemed to
have solved the quirkyness.
I does recognize the USB wired network device.
However, when I try the wireless USB (D-LINK DWL-122) it doesn't
show up at all under any device.
Is there a special module for this device?

Well, many USB W-LAN devices don't have Linux drivers, but Google gave encouraging results for that one. Try seeing this article:
