Iperf warning message meaning.

Hi,
I am using iperf packet generator tool in my project. I run iperf on FC6 system.
In UDP transmission mode of iperf i sometimes get following warning message
WARNING: did not receive ack of last datagram after 10 tries.

Could anybody plz tell me what does that mean?

Same problem here. Something prevented the server end of the link from sending a reply (provide the resulting stats to the client end) even though the server end acknowledged a connection in the beginning.

I was running in UDP mode.

The server end is running a Linux-based firewall (iptables); I even opened up the correct incoming UDP port. While it let the connection through to the server once I opened the firewall, server seems not to be replying.

I did the reverse where the firewall on the server end was a Netgear FVS-something, and it works fine. But I am also running different versions of iperf so this could be a problem.
