I'm trying to setup a DHCP relay to talk to a DHCP server which I've seperated using a router. I know the DHCP server is setup correctly for non-relayed clients but the problem I am having is that the server is ignoring the DHCP relay request with the error "Unknown Network Segment".

These are the subnet declarations from my config:

subnet 10.8.0.0 netmask 255.255.255.0 {
option routers 10.8.0.3;
option broadcast-address 10.8.0.255;
pool {
deny dynamic bootp clients;
default-lease-time 16440;
max-lease-time 16440;
range 10.8.0.100 10.8.0.254;
}
}

subnet 10.8.2.8 netmask 255.255.255.249 {
option routers 10.8.2.9;
pool {
range 10.8.2.10 10.8.2.12;
}
}

When a client connected to the 10.8.2.8 subnet requests and IP the DHCP relay which is 10.8.2.9 unicasts the request to 10.8.0.1, the DHCP server then gives the error. 10.8.0.1 can ping 10.8.2.9 via a default gateway.
