configuring verizon access on uncle's network

I'm on my uncle's network, and he has verizon. I'm guessing that my ethernet cord is simply connected to his router/hub and then goes to his verizon modem. Unless Verizon modems allow more then one machine to be plugged into it. If that's the case, he probably went for that.

I neither know anything about lan's nor dsl as I'm used to cable. How do I configure this for internet access? I don't need access to anything on the lan other then the beautiful internet connection.

I forgot to post what all I was able to figure out via viewing the "verizon" icon under network settings. (That's what I click to login to Verizon here on Windows. He configured it.)

One, as I already stated, to get 'net access, I just click that Verizon icon under network settings.

I know the username and pw I'm supposed to use for Verizon.

And it's using PPoE.
