I want to know that if i create a file as root on redhat linux 7.2 or 8 and then wish to set access priviledges on it i can set file access modes right but there are meny ppl who log in as root.can i do something to still preserve my file.. that is prevent editing or deleting of that file?
If the people accessing the systems also runs at root you cant protect the files from them since you as root can change the permissions to anything you want.
But there is ways to even protect the systems from root. But for that you have to install som accesscomtrol systems like Grsecurity. http://www.grsecurity.org. Which maybe is a little overkill.
