i cant join windows machines into domain created on linux server

hi
i have created a domain foobar.tld on my linux machine (SLES 9.3) by using

document on internet.. Only i did not install dhcp and my dns is not dynamic.. Linux machines see my domain but windows not..

when i try to join windows xp prof into domain it gives an error such :

The error was: "DNS name does not exist."

(error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.foobar.tld
