Interface Name & DHCP Question

Hi all,

Please could somebody tell me how to resolve and interface name (such as eth0) into a device name (such as "Realtek RTL 8169 Fast Ethernet Controller") ?

I was also wondering if it is possible, as a DHCP client, to get the DHCP server's IP address from which you got a lease?
