Linux and Windows network using router ?
I want to network my Linux (Ubuntu &Suse ) desktop with my Windows XP laptop to share files and printers over wifi connection .
My desktop confi :-
Dual boot (ubuntu & suse ) with one ethernet card ...
Windows XP (home) with wifi adaptor and wifi modem..
Objective :--Access FAT32 drives of my linux desktop wirelessly using windows desktop
till now i tried following steps
Assigned a static IP address to network card in Suse 10.2 wiz 192.168.1.25
Added this IP address of linux desktop to LAN client page of my DHCP enabled router (assigned a static IP 192.168.1.25)
Sucessfully connected wifi adaptor of laptop to internet which is getting an dynamic IP my DHCP of wifi router .
but still both of these desktop and laptop can't ping each other
