Looking for a project - wired and wireless authentication
Basically, I have two virtual networks. One network is OpenLDAP w/Samba. The other network is using Guest VLANs (802.1x I believe) which means if you were to hook up to our network in a certain room (specified switch in a conference room) then it would defer you to the outside Internet. Great for outside vendors, people without network access, etc.
I am looking for a Linux project out there that as soon as you connect the laptop to the jack, and open an internet browser, a webpage will prompt you to login using an account (one account for all users).
I know they exist, I just was wondering if anyone prefers one over the other. Thank you!
