Looking for Westell FDX305 for Linux driver

Hi, im totaly new to linux and having problems connecting to the internet.

I have BT Broadband (British Telecom) connection to the Internet by the
Westell FDX305 USB DSL Modem for Windows.

The BT Support Team says that there is no official support under Linux for
the Westell FDX305.

Please, can you help?

Hmmm, well I did this google search, and it turned up a number of results.

I think the most promising one is this one at Fujitsu UK, which seems to point to unsupported drivers for your particular hardware.

As an alternative, you could always get a non-usb type ADSL modem - get one with RJ45 network connectors rather than a USB connector.

Actually I've bought SpeedTouch 330 and think to have made a BIG mistake :(

They're not particuarly expensive, though, are they? Cant you just get another one?

Dear Roxoff,

I've bought a "Dlink ADSL Modem With Ethernet - Interface" as you suggested. Unfortunately no Ethernet port is available on my PC.

Please, can you suggest the right Ethernet Adapter (to USB), my OS is Red Hat 7.1

I think the whole point was to use the ethernet interface instead of USB. Pick up an ethernet card..they're only $15ish US.
