I have a Linux machine running Red Hat 5.5 with two network interfaces:
eth0 = 192.168.2.1/24
eth1 = 192.168.3.1/24
The networks either side are layer-3 and capable of handling multicast traffic using PIM.
On the 192.168.2.x network I have a multicast publisher (address 18.104.22.168 - arbitrarily chosen) and I have a subscriber on the Linux machine with the multicast traffic arriving on eth0.
Is it possible to configure the Linux machine to forward the multicast traffic from eth0 to eth1 so that a subscriber on the 192.168.3.x network can receive the traffic? I have been looking at many forum topics regarding iptables and mrouted (to which I am fairly new) but cannot seem to get a definitive solution.
Any help would be appreciated,
