need help auto mounting a network drive (should be easy an easy solution)
I'm using red hat linux and I have a network folder shared already.. it's on a redhat linux machine ip address 192.168.3.72
i can mount it with the command: mount 192.168.3.72:/public /import
I am wondering what i need to add to the /etc/fstab file to automount it on startup?
and another question if you guys get bored would be:
i added some stuff like 192.168.3.72:/public /import *other stuff that i forget now* to the fstab on another linux machine so that it would automount on startup but now linux doesn't start.. it gets hung up around enabling swap space and doesn't go anywhere.. is there some way that i can edit the fstab file in this condition and revert it?
btw any solution with knoppix or the such i cannot due as these machines are actually virtual machines...
Thank you in advance for your help!!
