Need help with configuring Linux with USB ethernet
I have connected my computer to a 2Wire homeportal router through a USB cable.
My Mandrake 10.0 detects the USB drive but under the hardware section it lists it as an unknown device "2Wire USB Remote NDIS Ethernet". But when I try to add it as a network device, it does not detect it in the GUI version nor in ifconfig.
Here is what my /proc/usb/devices says regarding the 2wire device:
T: Bus=03 Lev=00 Prnt=00 Port=00 Cnt=00 Dev#= 1 Spd=12 MxCh= 2

E: Ad=82(I) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms
E: Ad=03(O) Atr=02(Bulk) MxPS= 64 Ivl=0ms
I try to add it manually under networking, but the only devices that I can say to use is "usbnet" but that also does not work.
Can anyone help me get my poor poor internet working?
