Network Install Error - Now No Internet Access
Installed Debian 'squeeze' on a stand-alone desktop PC. During the Network Config (of DHCP) step an error occurreed which I bypassed and now have no internet access. The software I am installing requires additional packages not included with the Debian Install CD and must be downloaded from the web.
Can the network be setup manually and what are steps?
Network Install Error - Now No Internet Access
Encountered the following message during the install. On the "Config the Network with DHCP screen" it displayed the message: "Network autoconfig failed... your network is probably not using the DHCP protocol. Alternatively, THE DHCP server may be slow or some network hardware is npt working properly."
There were options to (1) retry, (2) configure manually or (3) skip and perform after the install completes. I selected option (3).
