SMB mounts at start up
I've got a share on a Windows XP box that I can't mount automatically at startup on a Linux box (Fedora Core 3). I'm trying to use fstab to do so (someone tell me if this is the wrong way to automatically mount stuff). From what I understand, fstab does NOT support spaces in mounts (my share is called 'Rad ****'). I just ended up changing the name of the share on the Windows box, but I'm just wondering two things:
-Is fstab the way to mount stuff automatically at startup? I've heard of automount, but it looked exceedingly complicated for what I wanted.
-Does fstab actually support spaces in the mounts? I tried escaping it with a '\ ', surrounding the field with "quotations", but to no avail. It aways interpreted the spaces as a field delimiter.
Thanks for your help.
