Hi, I currently created a network for my 2 PCs under windows but since only one pc runs under both linux and windows and the other on windows only i would like to set up a network on my linux box, so i was wondering if there a wizard in suse 9.2 to create a network or if some one could point me to a tutorial on how to create a network on linux... Thanks!!!
I'm assuming that you are referring to sharing files between the systems over the network. If that's the case, then you need samba. It should be configureable via YaST, but I'm not 100% on that as I've never used SuSE. 8)
Yes as sarumont said samba is the way, to set it up via YaST:
YaST -> Network settings -> and here do all the things with samba, after that you should be able to access your win comp via smb://<IP.of.win.comp> in konquorer, and \\<IP.of.lin.comp> in windows explorer.

That thread lists the various IP settings of the machines involved. In essence though, I have a router controlling IP Address allocation and internet connection sharing, one linux box (Zen) and one XP Home machine (Scorpio).
Both machines share a couple of users in common (mark and smbuser) but while scorpio's workgroup lists zen, I can't browse any shares on that machine. And since setting up the router, zen can't browse scorpio's shares or even detect that it is part of a network (through the network browser icon).
Any advice you can give would be much appreciated.
