Write access to Windows 98 drive using SMB
I am using SMB to access the hard drive on an old Windows 98 machine over my home LAN. I can succesfully view all files on the shared drive but I can't write anything, despite attempting to configure r/w access.
The relevant line from my /etc/fstab is as follows:
//frontroom/C /media/frontroom smbfs user,rw,auto,password=xxxx 0 0
The drive in question is shared at root on the Windows 98 machine, and write access is configured with a password.
Any help much appreciated! :?
