    Adept Manager Kubuntu

Somehow I did it. After installing and updating with Adept I tried to install Firefox. There was a problem with the support packages so I deleted them but it took the Firefox installation package also.
When I used Adept to find Firefox, it couldn't find it. I guess that there is a mirror or repository where it is available. But as a newbie I'm in the dark of how or where to find it. Is there a manual page that covers this portion of Adept usage?
Or can anyone tell me how to find, download and install Firefox?
    Thanks,
    Owen

Post the contents of /etc/apt/sources.list file.
You can download Firefox from here. Extract downloaded package and double click on Firefox file.
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

    Adept Manager Kubuntu

Thanks for the offer. Unfortunately I couldn't send the contents of my etc/apt/ files because I don't think Kubuntu has a default e-mail package installed. It took most of the day to download "Thunderbird" and install it. The download was done at 1.5 kps. It wasn't until this morning that by experimenting that I found by removing all flow control that the modem would transmit at the normal rate of 2.9 kps with my dialup account.
    Thanks again.
