If you create new partitions after Fedora Partitions, nothing will be effected in Fedora but if you create new partition before Fedora Partitions, Fedora will not boot and You have to edit few conf files ( /etc/fstab, /boot/grub/menu.lst and a few more ).
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
