    Error loading Xine

    Hey,

    when I'm trying to load a DVD on meida player in mandriva in says player xine not running.

    I installed Mplayer, but there I got another error "failed to open dvd://1"

    Hey,
    Does the DVD gets mounted? Can you see the contents of DVD? Which file types/formats are there in DVD? Check wheter those support ur Xine and Mplayer.
    well if you can see the contents after the DVD is mounted try to open it with Mplayer or Xine.
    If no success just when after trying all operations on it. Post the output of following command
    #tail -f /var/log/messages
