    swapping my hard drive

I have a 10Gb hda (98% full) and two 80Gb hdb, hdc. I want to copy my complete Suse 10.2 to one of the others (both formatted with files on) then connect it physically to the hda position so that I can ditch my old hda. As far as I know all drives are the same format. I have a lot of stuff on hda at the moment and prefer not to have to reinstall anything (e.g. apache server, mySQL).

Does anyone know how I can do this?

    hey,
Well May be these are two ways in your case:-
    1. Simply mount your hdb, hdc shift your users data, application storage data on it and by making hda free for space. And in furture avoid to dump any data on hda. But one drawback cannot remove hda then.

    2. Take backup of all your important data on hdc (assuming that it has appropriate partitions and file types). Install OpenSuse 10.2 on hdb (80 Gb) that is primary partirions including connection of paralell harddisk hdc (backup harddisk).
Install your all applications having same or upgraded versions with same specified path erlier.
