    Gimpshop Install

    I got PCLinuxOS today and getting frustrated trying to install the above. I downloaded the rpm package (I think that's the right one) and first failed until I installed gksu.
    Now I try to install with Synaptic, giving the root password but Synaptic opens and theres no option to install the program!
    Can someone help this thicko.

    Can't you just use "rpm -i name_of_package.rpm" on the command line?

    Hi scm

    Im a total noob, and just switched from Ubuntu. Anyway that works, except that I need libgimpprint.so.1 to install. Unfortunately, Synaptic doesnt have it.
    I googled and got libgutenprint or something, but that wont install.

    Another question, which will probably sound stupid to you pros but when you click on a file and select "Open with Synaptic" why doesnt Synaptic try to install it?
