Installing from a CD for VoIP connection.
Well, being new to SUSE Linux and going forward with it, I need some help with an issue....I need to make my internet phone calls again! ...lol
Specifics:
--When opening the CD installation disk for the VoIP router, I come across 2 specific things; they are: 'autorun.exe' and the 'autorun.inf' files. Now, how can I get them to run the Linux way in order to get my VoIP broadband router working?
When I click on the 'autorun.exe' file, I get this:
--file:/media/cdrecorder/autorun.exe (in which I see an index of known applications). I am aware it's a Windows executable file.
--The other file ('autorun.inf'), is of course a plain-text document. How do you open that?
Hardware model: DVG-1402S (Broadband router)
--My general peripheral set-up is correct: RJ-45 from cable modem into the router. Then, a second RJ-45 from the router into the computer's ethernet port.
Conclusion: I guess I'm dealing with an extraction issue eh? SUSE, here I come!!

You dont need any linux drivers for this.
The VoIP Router configuration is accessed through the browser URL:
http://192.168.15.1
you may need a Admin username/password pair!
From what I can gather don't upgrade firmware unless you really must.
