    LM-Sensors

I'm trying to get my lm-sensors to work properly and for some reason I can't get it to function right. Here are the instructions that I followed (I believe that I followed them exactly).

HOW TO: Install and configure lm-sensors - Ubuntu Forums

I got a bunch of "yes/no" questions with sensors-detect, I answered yes to all of them. Now when I try to type in "sensors" I get the following error

    No sensors found!
Make sure you loaded all the kernel drivers you need.
Try sensors-detect to find out which these are.

I think my computer is running way to hot and I would like to be able to monitor it if possible. I tried redoing the sensors-detect, same yes or no questions, yes to all...rebooted, nothing still. Thanks all

Hello - did you try running sensors-detect? Maybe there are some modules missing from your kernel. If so modules can be inserted using the modprobe command, once you've identified them.

There are some gui tools for lm-sensors, and I believe the software produces a log file somewhere in /var/log ...
