url for a detailed and long listing of process abbrev.

Looking for a reference url for a good listing of process abbrev.'s that show up with a ps -aux. It would have the more obvious like httpd, sshd etc... but also many 3rd party or seldom used/looked at apps as well. i.e spamd (spamassassin), kswapd (swap file) etc... ideas?

All I'm finding are general lists that are far from complete even without 3rd party apps.

    Thanks for any ideas,
    Dan

    Hmm...

    Couldnt find any myself.

Someone else may have a good list or 2 lying around..

Only thing i could really suggest is googling for any specific abbriviation you are not sure of when you see in appear in a ps command.

Yeh, that works but I wanted a consolidated list of most of them. Like the port/service lists that are available for over 65,000 total.

I'm sure that if you start a post with a few, others will add to it. (If you build it, they will come.)
