Does the kernel recognize Aztech 100u modem driver ?
Hi!
I have just downloaded a driver for Aztech 100u usb modem from lugs.org.sg . I copied the file to linux via samba and extracted the files using the file roller program in redhat 8.
Now,there's a problem. I do not know whether the modem driver is installed in the kernal already or not. Is there a way to test ( in GUI or command line) to check if the Aztech 100u usb modem driver is installed in the kernel?
If it is,do you know the steps to start up a broadband connection to the web?
Or if it isn't,what should I do to install the driver ?
Pls reply quickly if you can.....thanks!

You probably have to compile the drivers yet and then load.
