Topologilinux at Topologilinux - [Running Linux inside Windows]

Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Edbuntu/Xubuntu can be loaded inside Windows using the Wubi installer. See Wubi - The Easiest Way to Linux

You can also run many versions of Linux inside Windows if you install Virtual Player and any of the FREE Virtual Appliances see Overview - VMware

Not quite the thing for a Linux site but if you want portable (Windows) Open Source on a USB stick you could look at Portable Apps at PortableApps.com - Portable software for USB drives | Your Digital Life, Anywhereâ„¢ or Framakey at Framakey : En - Index browse

For Linux on a pendrive look at Boot and run Linux from a USB flash memory stick | Pen Drive Linux Some of the trouble with this is that SOME just create a non-persistant copy - just like a LiveCD where you can't save things. Look particularly at Portable Qemu Persistent Ubuntu tutorial on Portable Qemu Persistent Ubuntu tutorial | Pen Drive Linux

Ubuntu can make a persistant copy - where you can save things. Look at the above and Xubuntu Feisty - now from USB drive!, Ubuntu Feisty on your USB drive - finally! (both on Xubuntu Blog) and LiveUsbPendrivePersistent (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/LiveUsbPendrivePersistent
