hi


does anyone know what x64 linux os would run on my system?:

amd athlon 64 3000+ (socket 939)
1gb ram
a8n-vm mobo
integrated 6100 graphics

i tried the latest version of ubuntu and it had some errors even loading the live cd, also i want to know which one will be most compatible with programs and fastest too.

Take a look at the link in my signature for lots of good information on getting started with Linux. There is info there about 32bit vs 64bit, too.

Unfortunately, nobody here can tell you which distro you will like best, and which one will be the best for your hardware. You've already taken the correct path by trying Ubuntu. Now, you need to try some others for yourself to see which one(s) suit your own tastes and hardware best.

The main thing is to have fun with Linux.
