Sounds like you should have done a little research into Linux before switching from Windows.

Generally you can't open the same programs you can in windows, such as .exe (execuable) files. You could look into alternative programs that are written for linux or use a program such as WINE which will let you install programs from Windows

What kind of sound card do you have? It may just be a matter of running the proper configuration program.

2: i can not access the net
What method do you use to connect to the internet normally? Do you use a Cable or DSL modem? Dial-up modem? Wireless internet?

,3: my videocard is no longer configured,
What model and brand of video card do you have? Most major brands have specific Linux drivers that can be installed.

    4:my harddisk is completly empty
I highly doubt that. If your harddisk were completely empty you would not be able to even load your operating system. What is reporting that it's empty?

,and worst off all 5: i can no longer install any software what so ever!!!does anyone have a suggestion? With every exe. file i try to open the computer gives me the finger, when i doubleclick an executable file nothing happens, only:unable to open this file!!! help please , i am deperate !!!
I recommend you take some time and read our introductory tutorials here:

    http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/lin...ead-first.html

Pay specific attention to the section "Linux is NOT Microsoft Windows." Linux is a completely different operating system and software designed for Microsoft Windows (EXE files) will not run on it natively.

    Welcome to LF!

Calm down, everything will be fine. What vga are you using? Did you install any drivers? Which way are you connected? wireless, wired, dial-up? I guess you wanted to dual-boot with windows and you erased by mistake the hard disk. Open a terminal and run fdisk -l as root. Which distro are you using?

    Edit: just a second late

If you don't want to have to configure your hardware after installing Linux, I'd recommend trying as many different distros as you can to see which one(s) your hardware might happen to work with by default. Of course, there's no guarantee that any of them will work that way.

Lots of users on this board have commented that Sabayon Linux worked with all their hardware out of the box, but only you can determine which if any work that way for you.

Experiment a bit and above all, have fun with Linux!
