    msn and squid


    hello,
    i have suid proxy server and all my client are win base,i have two nic on linux machine(squid proxy server),One nic has external and other has internal IP.
    I m using iptable.Now the problem is that my client cant send file and voice conversation through msn messenger plz help.thats my iptable

    $IPTABLES -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp -s 192.168.23.0/32 --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 3128
    $IPTABLES -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o $EXTIF -s 192.168.23.0/32 -j MASQUERADE
    $IPTABLES -t nat -A POSTROUTING -o $EXTIF -s 192.168.24.0/32 -j MASQUERADE

    That's not really a "problem" with your iptables configuration. The MSN clients listen at ports to accept file and voice transmissions. Since the router can't have any idea at all what client to redirect the other side's connection attempts to, it cannot be configured that way. Check to see if the MSN clients can run through a SOCKS proxy, and, if they can, install one on the router and configure the clients to use it.
