Terminal
I have a problem and need advice. I have Ubuntu 6.06 and need to modify a setting. Everything is just fine until I get the prompt to enter my password. My keyboard will not enter any text at the prompt. The enter key works and that is all.

The text won't show up as you enter your password, because it's a "silent" password.
Just enter it and then press ENTER.oz

Ok. I'll probably figure out Ubuntu in about 100 years. I know XP Pro inside and out. Ubuntu is way over my head.

meeh if you know winxp in and out then that should be no problem mate...
Run to the latest distro of ubuntu and gnome is also easy.
Click on the password aera and then write the password make sure that A and a are two diffrent letters so it's also case sensitive. write the code and then click ok and it whould work..
But I can reccomend to get over to the latest distro..
