Windows install screwed up boot menu :(

I had a dual boot running (Ubuntu and XP), XP was acting up and instead of taking the time to figure out what it was I formatted that partition and reinstalled....I don't get a selection at boot any more to ask what I want to boot (so I can't access my most important OS and documents ) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
