I forgot the name of a program that would allow you to easily change splash screens? Anyone have any ideas, it didn't require any changing of code or redirecting paths.....reinstalled Ubuntu and forgot to write down the name. Thanks all

what desktop are you using? KDE? Gnome? Fluxbox? Are you talking about the splash screen at login, or the splash screen on bootup?

    Gnome

I'm using Gnome, I'm talking about the splashscreen after the login screen, usually it's the orange ubuntu with the music (drums type thing) in the background.

Go to System >> Administration >> Login Window. Gnome is pretty standard from on distro to another. This is probably what you are looking for.
