Where has my 60GB gone?
so i got an acer lappy with linux(no idea which version) preinstalled. 120 giggs, divided into two partitions.
i proceeded to install xp. now the problem is, xp recognizes only one of the drives, which means, my other 60giggs has disappeared somewhere..
i cant load linux (which i think is on the other partition) thru bios or F11 or any boot screen.
wad do i do?

What did you expect?
A dual boot machine with both XP & linux installed? -- too bad, you've killed you linux. You'll have to re-install linux on the "missing" 60Gb.
A XP machine with 120Gb? -- can still be done. The "missing" 60Gb uses a file-system which XP does not understand. Go and look for the "FDISK" on XP, find and delete the 2nd partition and create a windows partition and format with ntfs or fat32. XP will find the 60Gb back.
No, I do not know where to find FDISK on windows: wrong forum
