Opinions wanted, please read
Ok. I got an old Powerpc 3 mac ibook with 700 mHz and 128 ram from an old teacher. I want to know what is the version of linux that looks and works like windows the best and can run wine. Having some troubles doing it on my own. Also when i install certain versions like YDL or Gentoo i get a screen that starts talking about my comp when i boot from the cd and try to install it and parts of the screen are white and then it freezes. I would like to know why that is happening also. So please post your choice of what I should go with and a simple reason why. So please take a minute to read this and fill something out. Thanks.

Take a look at the link in my signature for lots of good information on getting started with Linux. You might want to pay particular attention to the part about "which distro?" threads.
Note that I've deleted your signature because we won't allow you to advertise this thread in all your posts. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Have fun with Linux...
