    Suggestions for reading

I have an old computer available at home, so I decided to explore what Linux is like. I have installed Debian GNU/Linux 4.0 on my computer, but I have one problem: I have only ever used Windows OSes. I have no experience with running a computer from the command line. I also have no problem with learning. The issue I have is finding something from which I can learn, preferrably a good book. If anyone could please post titles of books which would help me learn the subject matter I need to learn, or even what exactly I should be looking for in a book, I would be greatly appreciative.

Well, I've said it before and I'll keep on saying it: get the O'Reilly book called "Running Linux".

I'm glad you prefer books to HOW-TOs. It shows you're a civilised person and not a geek.
