    Printing via wireless router

Help!!! I'm at my wits' end...

I have an HP laserJet 3200 connected to the USB port on my wireless router, the router acting as a print server.

I've tried to access the printer via my Linux (Fedora Core 7) machine using CUPS, but to no avail. I don't know anything about the different types of connections. the router manufacturer, Belkin, says that Linux is not supported, but I can't believe that I need to use Windoze to print things.

Can anyone help me with this? Surely it is a simple matter to print via the wireless router?

Can you determine your printer's IP address? With mine (my setup is a wired hub, with my computer and my printer both plugged into it), I used the printer's diagnostics page to figure out its IP, and then tried various connection types until it worked.

Also, as far as I know, routers don't "support" anything. You just hook into them as you would any connection. As long as your wireless card is supported, you can access any network.

Most routers have a setup page that can be accessed through a web browser. You would type the router's IP address in the browser. The most frequent is
    Code:
    http://192.168.0.1
You may then need to enter the user (try admin) and a password. If you never changed it, consult your manual for the default password.

I should have added that you should set the printer up with a static IP address. Then you can access that printer using that IP address.
