    booting haults

    hi
    i had made some tweaking to fstab file
    what i did is

    /dev/hda7 swap swap defaults 0 0
    /dev/hda6 / reiserfs defaults 1 1
    /dev/hda1 /fat-c ntfs rw 1 0
    /dev/hda5 /fat-d vfat defaults,umask=0 1 0

    /dev/cd-rw /mnt/cd-rw iso9660 auto,user,ro 0 0
    /dev/dvd-rw /mtn/dvd-rw iso9660 auto,user,ro 0 0
    /dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,user 0 0
    devpts /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
    proc /proc proc defaults 0 0

    now the problem is when i boot the system
    it haults
    after loading hal
    and
    at NTFS mounting ( as i dont know how to copy the booting thing)
    it stops the cursor blinks but nothing happens
    i try to press keys but no success
    i even tries to run Live cd Gparted
    but after moving to booting part
    my lg monitor screen gives me
    message

    high frequency
    56.4

    operating is 54

    so no display
    what to do

    OS#Windows Xp pro Sp2
    Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2ghz
    Intel motherboard DG965ry
    Nvidia graphic card 512mb
    2 gb ram
    250gb Sata segate HDD
    160gb sata segate hdd
    D link ethernetcard
    Lg dvd writer
    Lg cd writer

    Boot up in Rescue Mode or Single User Mode or from any LiveCD and put # sign before ntfs and vfat lines in /etc/fstab file. Check if it works.
    In either case, post the output of fdisk -l command here.
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
