    Contributing to projects

Hi, I recently became interested in contributing to an open source project (what exactly I don't know). I know some python already. Are there many projects out there that use python in their development? And does anyone know of any good graphics tools that would be helpful to know?

    Thanks!

There are many projects that use python e.g. in Fedora most of the system configuration tools are written in python. It maybe useful to know PyGTK and PyQT if you want to contribute to GUI based apps.

Do you use any Python-based apps regularly? Do you have ideas for them? Then write a patch and submit it.

If you're looking for a project (that is, the above doesn't apply), you can check out Sourceforge or Freshmeat for new projects, and see what you can find.

Also you can translate any application, writing code isn't the uniqe way to contribute a projects.

If you persistantly want to write Python codes, you have to search SourceForge or Freshmeat
