i can recommend you a book from oreilly - running linux. i have one and it helped me a lot...

coon, keep in mind that the problem with real books is that they are very expensive, and they go out of date very quickly, especially when it comes to the subject of Linux. Note that Running Linux is one of those that has best stood the test of time.
Otherwise, it's great to hold them in your hands while looking through them.
