    Which Version To Choose?

I have an old Laptop, and I want to try Linux.

It has an amazing 400mhz processor, and 32/64 mb of ram. I can't remember.

I reckon Damn Small Linux would be best, but I have no Idea of how to install it.

The lappy is running Windows ME, can I simply create an install CD and boot it up with that in the drive?

I have also looked at Damn Small Linux Not, which is slightly bigger, I reckon this would be the best option. But I have no idea how to install it.

I would start here, specifically the "What about older computers?" section:

    http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/lin...e-posting.html

If you choose one and have specific questions about installing, running, tweaking it please start a thread in the appropriate section of the forum and we'll do our best to help you.
